Scott Brittain


Scott Brittain works as a District Projects Director for the Ferndale School District. He is the K-12 Representative to the Washington Student Achievement Council.

Brittain began his career in education as a science, chemistry and math teacher in the Puyallup School District.  He later served as a high school assistant principal, a junior high school principal, and a high school principal in the Puyallup district. He recently worked for the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction as the Mathematics Collection of Evidence Assessment Specialist.

Brittain is state chair of the Northwest Accreditation Commission, as well as a member of the National Board of Accreditation for Advanced Education.  He has been an adjunct instructor at Western Washington University, where he taught Education Administration courses.

Brittain earned a bachelor of arts in education from Western Washington University. He also holds a master of arts in educational administration from the University of Puget Sound and associate of science degree from Olympic Community College.
