College Assistance Migrant Program
The Washington Supplemental Grant for College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) provides funding to institutions for direct student services to attract and retain students from among the migrant and seasonal farm worker population.
The majority of federal CAMP funds are targeted to assist entering first-year students, with limited funds authorized to assist returning students. State-funded services are meant to supplement the work of services provided through the federal CAMP contract or institutional dollars used for this targeted population.
The total appropriations for the state-funded program have remained unchanged since its inception in 2001, at $25,000 per fiscal year, and $50,000 each biennium.
